VIDEO: How a Large Tree is Cut and Taken Away in Just Five Minutes at Pushkin-Yekmalyan Intersection

In the intersection of Pushkin and Yekmalyan streets in Yerevan, a tree located in front of building number 49 on Pushkin has been cut down. This alarming report comes from a resident of a nearby building, who recorded the scene showing unidentified individuals cutting down the large tree and taking it away in just a few minutes. The resident also noted the identities of those cutting the tree and the license plate of their vehicle.

Factor.am contacted Levon Sardarayan, the head of the Information Department of the Yerevan Municipality, who promised to discuss the issue with the Department of Urban Development and Landscaping to obtain clarifications. However, according to Sardarayan, it was impossible to reach the relevant authorities due to the likely end of the working day. We will publish the clarifications from the municipality as soon as they are received, and we will continue to monitor this issue closely.
