Putin and Aliyev Discuss Tripartite Meeting Held in Brussels

Russian President Vladimir Putin has had a telephone conversation with Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev. The information is reported by RIA Novosti, citing the Kremlin press service.

According to the statement, the situation in the South Caucasus was discussed. "Aliyev informed about the meeting with Pashinyan and Michel on August 31 in Brussels," the statement reads.

Putin and Aliyev emphasized the importance of coordinated efforts to ensure stability and security along the Armenian-Azerbaijani border.

It is noteworthy that on August 31, a meeting took place in Brussels with the mediation of the President of the European Council, Charles Michel, where Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev met. According to the official statement, Pashinyan and Aliyev agreed to continue substantive negotiations on the draft peace treaty at the level of foreign ministers.
