Large Fire in Ijevan: Ministry of Defense Helicopter and 102 Firefighters Are Battling the Blaze

A fire that broke out near the winery in the city of Ijevan is being tackled by one helicopter from the Ministry of Defense and 102 firefighters. This information has been reported by the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Armenia.

It has been noted that on September 2, an operational group from the regional rescue department of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and two firefighting teams have been dispatched to the scene to resume firefighting efforts. Approximately 7-8 hectares of vegetation are burning.

As a reminder, on August 31 at 13:25, the Tavush Regional Crisis Management Center received a report that vegetation was burning near the Ijevan winery. Yesterday, the director of the rescue service, Colonel Armen Gasparyan, was present at the scene.
