Azerbaijan to Double Gas Supplies to Europe, Says Aliyev

“By diversifying energy carrier supplies to the global market, Azerbaijan has succeeded in making an investment in the transformation of Europe’s energy map,” stated Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev while speaking at the plenary session of the 48th International Conference underway in Italy.

Aliyev referred to the recently signed memorandum between Azerbaijan and the EU, which he termed a new roadmap for cooperation in the energy sector.

“Azerbaijan plans to double its gas supplies to Europe. I am confident that we will be able to achieve this goal,” said Aliyev.
