Taiwanese Military Shoots Down Chinese Army Drone
Taiwanese military has shot down a drone belonging to the People's Liberation Army of China over the skies of Kinmen Island. This was reported by Reuters.
Since early August, the Chinese People's Liberation Army has conducted a series of military exercises along its coastline amid rising tensions in the Taiwan Strait, which stems from the visit of U.S. House Speaker Nancy Pelosi to Taipei on August 2-3.
The Chinese armed forces have also carried out large-scale military missile exercises in six areas surrounding Taiwan. In response to a visit from a delegation of U.S. lawmakers to Taiwan on August 14-15, China conducted several drills in various maritime areas of the South China Sea, Yellow Sea, and East China Sea.
