Moses Hakobyan: "Arzumanyan Took Command at a Time When Everything Was Already Predetermined"
Former Chief of General Staff of the Armed Forces of Armenia Moses Hakobyan discussed the criminal prosecution of former Minister of Defense and former commander of the Defense Army of the Republic of Artsakh, Mikayel Arzumanyan, in an interview with Azatutyun.
Hakobyan stated that he is certain of one thing: Arzumanyan did not deserve this, as he is a good military leader and by the time he took over the leadership of the Defense Army at the end of the war, everything was already predetermined.
"It is at least not fair to charge Arzumanyan, as he took command at a time when everything was already predetermined. Secondly, no one can evaluate the commander — whether the decision he made at that time was right or wrong in light of the circumstances. Even I, although I was Arzumanyan's superior, wouldn't take the liberty to say if he made the right or wrong decision because there are a thousand factors that influence a decision at that moment," said Moses Hakobyan.
