In the city of Bursa, Turkey, the roof of an intercity bus terminal has collapsed after being struck by lightning, leaving passengers trapped inside the building.

During a heavy rainstorm in Bursa, the lightning strike caused the terminal roof to give way. Medical personnel and firefighters are currently on-site, assisting and directing panicked citizens to safe areas.

Reports indicate that the storm lasted over an hour, turning streets in the central districts into lakes, with some trees destroyed by the flooding and traffic jams occurring.

Local authorities have stated that the heavy rains and thunderstorms in the city are expected to continue for some time.
