‘He Did Not Deserve This’: Movses Hakobyan on Arzumanyan
Movses Hakobyan, the former head of the General Staff, expressed deep disapproval regarding the situation with Mikael Arzumanyan, stating he did not deserve this and was a good military officer.
In an interview with Factinfo, Hakobyan responded to comments that authorities blame Mikael Arzumanyan for showing negligence during the defense of Shushi. He said, “I cannot comment on this as I am not informed; the evaluation can be made by Arzumanyan’s superior, the Chief of the General Staff or the Prime Minister.”
When asked why military personnel do not respond to such issues when authorities target their comrades and place the blame for the defeat in the war on them, Hakobyan noted that responding is pointless since it would not be beneficial.
