The death toll from floods in Pakistan has exceeded 1100, with over 1600 citizens recognized as affected. This information was provided by Asim Iftikhar, the official representative of the country’s Ministry of Foreign Affairs, during a press briefing.
According to him, more than one million homes have been completely or partially destroyed, and over 700,000 livestock have perished. Last week, the Pakistani authorities declared a state of emergency and called on other nations to provide assistance.
Preliminary estimates indicate that the damage caused by the flooding exceeds 10 billion dollars. As a result of the rainy season, one third of the territory of the province has been submerged.
