Russian Peacekeepers Deployed on Temporary Route Connecting Artsakh to Armenia

Russian peacekeepers have been deployed on the temporary route connecting Artsakh to Armenia. The information was provided to Sputnik Armenia by the press secretary of the Minister of Territorial Administration and Infrastructures of Artsakh, Viktoria Petrosyan.

"The temporary route connecting Artsakh to Armenia is fully asphalted. It will operate in the same manner as the Stepanakert-Goris-Berdzor road did. Currently, Russian peacekeepers are stationed there and are maintaining control; the road is already operational," Petrosyan stated.

According to her, the road will be serviced by qualified specialists and, regardless of weather conditions, there should be no issues with traffic. Petrosyan noted that residents of Agavnk, Sus, and Berdzor have all been evacuated, with a majority relocated to Armenia, while some have been resettled in Artsakh.

She added that they are covering the expenses of those accommodated in Artsakh hotels, while the housing committee is providing temporary shelter until permanent housing is arranged.
