Three Arrested in Connection with Explosion at Surmalu Trade Center
Three individuals have been detained in connection with the explosion at the Surmalu Trade Center. A request to arrest the deputy director of the 'Yerevan Canning Factory', which operates the Surmalu Trade Center, was denied.
This information was confirmed by Arevik Khachatryan, the head of the public relations department of the Prosecutor General's Office, in response to a question from Hetq. The deputy director, whose name has not been disclosed by law enforcement, has been charged with violating fire safety regulations at the trade center, which resulted in the death of a person or other serious consequences due to negligence.
The other three detainees who have been subsequently arrested are entrepreneurs, whose names are also unknown. These individuals are being accused of negligently causing the death of two or more persons.
