Photos: The roof of a special building at the nuclear power plant hit by Ukrainian shelling
A hole has been made in the roof of a special building at the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant (where reactor fuel is stored) due to shelling by Ukrainian forces. This was reported by Vladimir Rogov, a representative of the Zaporizhia regional administration, on his Telegram channel.
“The roof of the special building No. 1 of the Zaporizhia Nuclear Power Plant has been pierced by the strikes of Zelensky's attackers. Fresh fuel for the reactors of the NPP is stored in this building,” said Rogov.
He shared photos showing the damaged warehouse roof. The Zaporizhia NPP is located near the city of Enerhodar, on the left bank of the Dnipro River. It is the largest in Europe by the number of reactor blocks and installed capacity. Since March, the nuclear plant has been under the protection of Russian military forces.
