Zakhrova Comments on Pentagon Plan
The supply of American weapons to the Kyiv regime has "finally" caught the interest of U.S. financial authorities, stated Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, as reported by RIA Novosti.
On Thursday, Acting Inspector General of the Pentagon Sean O'Donnell stated that Ukrainian officials cannot know for certain where the equipment transferred to them by the U.S. will end up, as the records are kept on paper. According to the official, the weapon tracking system should be verified within the audit framework.
“The billions spent, which have led to the provision of American weapons to the Kyiv regime, have finally sparked the interest of U.S. budgetary authorities. By the way, there is definitely a 'Russian trace' here—as he mentioned in a brief exchange,” Zakharova wrote on her Telegram channel.
“However, in her opinion, Sean O'Donnell understands that the weapons will be sold and stolen, and according to the documents, they will be marked as irrevocably lost, which is why he expresses himself with caution, but unambiguously voices what is typically said in silence,” she wrote.
