‘Vitaly is doing the handover of Berdzor’ – user

The town of Berdzor in the Republic of Artsakh, along with nearby villages Aghavno and Sus, has now passed to Azerbaijan. Local reports from videos disseminated by Azerbaijani media show that Azerbaijani troops are already stationed in the Armenian settlements. One video depicts soldiers greeting from the occupied town of Berdzor.

Images have circulated online showing Vitaly Balasanyan, the Secretary of the Security Council of the Republic of Artsakh, welcoming an Azerbaijani official with a handshake, which has been referred to as the 'handover of Berdzor.'

Facebook users have commented, 'It’s Vitaly. Balasanyan Vitaly. He’s doing the handover of Berdzor. What’s he doing again… And you, Brutus.'

Let us recall that on the morning of August 26, at 8:30 am, an Azerbaijani detachment entered Berdzor. Earlier, the Armenian residents of Berdzor and Aghavno were displaced from their homes.
