Decision Made: EMERCOM Spokesman on the Opening of 'Petak' Entrance

Following the explosion at the 'Surmalu' shopping center, a section of Kristapor Street has been closed since August 14. Yesterday, operators of the 'Petak' shopping center demanded a clear date for when they could return to work.

Now, I would like to inform you that yesterday officials from the Police, Investigation Committee, and EMERCOM held discussions regarding the concerns raised by the operators. It has been decided to unilaterally open the specified section of the road while maintaining safety regulations. Work is currently underway in this regard,” said EMERCOM spokesperson Hayk Kostanyan.
