Israeli F-16s Strike Syrian Scientific Center

Israeli F-16s struck a scientific center in the Masyaf area of Syria on Thursday, launching four missile strikes that resulted in the destruction of two missiles and seven guided aerial bombs, reported Oleg Egorov, deputy head of the Russian Center for Reconciliation of Warring Parties in Syria, according to RIA Novosti.

According to the report, "From 19:16 to 19:30 on August 25, four tactical Israeli Air Force F-16 fighters carried out strikes on targets at a Syrian research center in the Masyaf area with four winged missiles and 16 guided aerial bombs," the statement said.

During a briefing, Egorov noted that Syrian Arab Republic air defense forces intercepted two missiles and seven guided aerial bombs using Russian-made Pantsir-S1 and S-75 systems. He also mentioned that the Israeli airstrikes had damaged storage facilities for specialized equipment at the Syrian research center.

Moreover, he clarified that due to missile and anti-tank gunfire from terrorists in the Tekad area targeting government positions near the Basra Town area in Aleppo province, three Syrian servicemen were injured.
