Temperatures to Rise: Weather in Armenia

Due to a high thermal background and the absence of precipitation, a high fire hazard situation is expected in the low mountain and valley areas of the republic.

In certain mountainous regions of the republic, brief thunderstorms with rain are possible. From August 24-28, dry weather is anticipated.

The wind will be northeastern at 2-5 m/s. On the evenings of August 24-25, wind intensification of 14-17 m/s is expected in the foothills of Aragatsotn and Kotayk, as well as in Armavir.

The air temperature will gradually increase by 4-5 degrees from August 26-28.

In Yerevan, from August 24-28, dry weather is forecast. On the evenings of August 24-25, wind intensification of 13-15 m/s is anticipated.
