Forest Fires in Georgia: The Fire is Spreading

Forest fires that have broken out in Georgia are spreading. According to Jnews, the fire is spreading from the village of Kvabiskhevi in the Borjomi region towards Akhaltsikhe.

Other Georgian media reports indicate that the fire has already descended from the Atsghuri fortress and is approaching residential areas.

Despite the heavy smoke, helicopters continue to operate. The Borjomi administration has been battling the fires for several days now. Helicopters are involved in the efforts to contain the fire.
