Armenian Police Identify Suspect in Murder of 23-Year-Old and Body Incineration

On August 22, at 11:35 AM, the Ijevan police department received a report from the administrative head of the Vazashen community regarding the discovery of the burned body of 23-year-old Sevada Ghazaryan in the outskirts of Vazashen. This was reported by the Police of Armenia.

A dispatched operational-investigative group found the charred remains of the young man at the scene.

As a result of joint operational and investigative measures conducted by the Ijevan police department, the Criminal Investigation Division, and the Tavush regional administration, a 32-year-old resident of Aygehovit was brought into the Ijevan police station on August 23 at 8:30 AM. He confessed that on August 21, around 9:45 PM, he had stabbed and killed the 23-year-old during an argument over financial matters.

The 32-year-old man has been arrested, and an investigation is underway.
