What The Law Enforcement Theories Are Regarding the 'Surmalu' Explosion

It has been 9 days since the tragedy at the 'Surmalu' shopping center. According to information from the 'Haykakan Zhamanak' newspaper, law enforcement has several suspicions regarding the explosion at the shopping center.

The report states that one of the theories is that there may have been an illegal workshop at the shopping center that was involved not only with fireworks but with explosive materials as well. It should be noted that a criminal proceeding has been initiated regarding the explosion that occurred on August 14 at the 'Surmalu' shopping center, during which numerous entrepreneurs have been questioned as victims.

“According to the information we have received, the theory currently being examined is that there was a workshop for making fireworks combined with other explosive materials in the basement of the collapsed building, and law enforcement is actively investigating this theory. It is also possible that the entrepreneurs questioned in the criminal proceedings may have provided such information to the authorities,” the newspaper reported.

In addition, it is important to note that the explosion at the shopping center has resulted in 16 casualties.
