Video: ‘Phetak’ Shopping Center Reopens Days After ‘Surmalu’ Tragedy, Customers Present
Following the tragedy at the ‘Surmalu’ shopping center in Yerevan, the ‘Phetak’ shopping center has resumed operations today. It is noteworthy that the shopping center is located adjacent to ‘Surmalu’, where an explosion occurred on August 14.
Due to search operations and cleanup efforts, Kristoferi Street was closed, which also blocked access to the shopping center.
Yesterday, employees of the ‘Phetak’ shopping center staged a protest, demanding a specific date for when the shopping center would reopen.
As reported by the Sputnik Armenia correspondent, many stalls at the shopping center are still being organized, and some are without electricity.
