Burned Body of 23-Year-Old Found in Tavush

A mysterious and horrifying incident occurred in the Tavush region on August 22. At around 11:30 AM, the Ijevan Police received a call from 67-year-old Lorik Badiryan, a resident of Tavush, who reported that a burned body had been found at the beginning of the Vazashen settlement, according to shamshyan.com.

According to photojournalist Gagik Shamshyan, authorities arrived at the scene, including the head of the Tavush regional police, Serge Avetisyan, the head of the Ijevan police department, Karen Gevorgyan, the acting head of the Tavush regional investigative department of Armenia’s investigative committee, Gyozalyan, and Davit Aloyan, the prosecutor of Tavush region.

Officials and investigators discovered a charred body in an abandoned state in the administrative area of the village of Vazashen, at a place called 'Vishki Yal.' Through necessary operational and investigative joint measures, they identified the body as that of 23-year-old Sevada Ghazaryan, a resident of Vazashen.

A criminal case has been initiated at the Tavush regional investigative department regarding the incident. According to G. Shamshyan, Lorik Badiryan, who reported to the police, is the administrative head of the Vazashen settlement.
