Aronian Wins in Round 7 of FTX Crypto Cup Rapid Chess Tournament
The former member of Armenia's men's chess team, Levon Aronian, continues his participation in the FTX Crypto Cup rapid chess tournament.
According to Armenpress, in the fourth round of the online rapid chess competition, the Armenian grandmaster faced off against the American representative Hans Niemann. After four games, Aronian secured victory with a score of 2.5 to 1.5.
The Armenian grandmaster is currently in fifth place in the tournament standings, with the world champion Magnus Carlsen leading the pack.
This rapid chess tournament consists of 7 rounds, with a prize fund of 210,000 USD.
