VIDEO: Current Status of Surmalu Trade Center

On August 19, search and rescue operations continue at the Surmalu Trade Center. A total of 33 rescuers are working at the scene, including 9 from the Emergency Situations Ministry's rescue department in Yerevan, 15 from the specialized rescue operations center, and 9 from the firefighting and rescue operations organization and medical support groups. Additionally, 14 volunteers from the Red Cross humanitarian organization are involved.

The search and rescue efforts are being conducted in one area. A water truck from the city hall, two tractors, and two dump trucks are also engaged in the operations.

As a result of the search and rescue operations, the bodies of 16 citizens have been found, including: Misak Patvakan's Margaryan, born in 1965; Anahit Vazgen's Mkrtchyan, born in 1967; Gemma Sargsyan's Nazaryan, born in 1960; Anahit Zazard's Khalatyan, born in 1970; Vardan Gurgen's Kocharyan, born in 1960; Gayane Artavazd's Avetisyan, born in 1966; Aram Komissar's Hayrapetyan, born in 1980; Vachagan Vahagni's Yeghoyan, born in 2000; Ernai Manvel's Grigoryan, born in 1980; Harutyun Samvel's Garakyan, born in 1988; Mariam Armen's Khachatryan, born in 1992; Sirarpi Armen's Khachatryan, born in 1994; Marat Karen's Shahbazyan, born in 2018; Hrachya Faienberg's Sargsyan, born in 1976; Artavazd Hambardzum's Hayrapetyan, born in 1951; and one unidentified citizen.

A total of 62 citizens have sought medical assistance at hospitals in Yerevan, with 4 continuing to receive treatment, while the others have been discharged after receiving appropriate medical care.
