Sotk, Yeraskh, Karahunj: Project for Establishing Armenian-Azerbaijani Border Checkpoints Launched

On August 4, 2022, during a government session, Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan mandated the National Security Service (NSS) to initiate a project for creating new border checkpoints along the Republic of Armenia's state border.

The new project will establish the following border crossings on the Armenian-Azerbaijani state border:

1. Sotk (Kelbajar) - located in Gegharkunik Province, from the Sotk community to the Republic of Armenia's state border along the M11 highway (Kelbajar region).

2. Yeraskh (Sadarak) - located in Ararat Province, within the Yeraskh community (Sadarak region, Sadarak village, automotive access).

3. Karahunj (Eyvazli) - located in Syunik Province, approximately 7.5 km to the south-southeast of the Karahunj community along the M2 highway (Gubadli region, Eyvazli village, automotive access).
