On the Second Day of Mourning, the President Sends Condolences

The President of Armenia, Vahagn Khachaturyan, has expressed his condolences regarding the explosion that occurred five days ago at the Surmalu shopping center. This information was reported by the press service of the President's office.

“The tragedy that took place at the Surmalu shopping center in Yerevan, which claimed numerous lives, has become a collective misfortune for all the residents of our country. During these days of mourning declared in Armenia, in memory of the victims of this tragedy, I deeply sympathize with the families of the deceased and share in their grief of loss. I wish a swift recovery to the injured and those affected,” the message stated.

The President also thanked the employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations and the municipality, doctors, staff of other relevant bodies, representatives of the Armenian Red Cross Society, and volunteers for their selfless work.

Khachaturyan urged citizens, business entities, and relevant authorities to always remain vigilant and strictly adhere to safety regulations, as the life and health of every citizen in Armenia are invaluable.
