Rescue Operation Underway for Missing Person Amidst Explosion Debris

"Currently, search operations are underway, heavy machinery is being used to remove heavy structures so that we can get closer to the area we need to access," stated Hambardzum Vardumyan, commander of the Ministry of Emergency Situations' rescue team, during a press conference while participating in the cleanup efforts following the explosion at 'Surmalu'.

"Working here has been very challenging as the collapse and explosion occurred alongside a fire outbreak. The temperatures have been extremely high, with smoke and burning plastic and toxic materials also hampering the work," the Emergency Situations employee added.

"It is known where the missing person may be located, and we are trying to reach the area with heavy machinery, while continuous searches are also ongoing," Vardumyan said.
