In the cities of Yerevan and the surrounding regions, the emergency response units are operating under increased service conditions, as informed by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Hayk Kostanyan, on his Facebook page.

"A total of 350 rescue service personnel have participated in the firefighting efforts. The complexity of the search and rescue operations is due to the collapses, as well as the scale of the fire," the post states.

The spokesperson of the Ministry of Emergency Situations reminds that rescuers have recovered 6 bodies from the rubble, 10 injured individuals, and 21 vehicles. Firefighting and search operations continue, with about 150 volunteers also taking part.

It is reminded that an explosion occurred at the Surmalu shopping center on August 14 at approximately 13:23.
