VIDEO: Body of 6th Victim Pulled from Rubble, Gender Yet to be Confirmed at Surmalu Site

Rescue teams have just pulled another body from the rubble of the Surmalu shopping center. At this moment, the death toll stands at 6. The gender of the deceased has not yet been determined. This information was reported to Sputnik Armenia by the spokesperson of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Hayk Kostanyan.

Sixteen citizens are still considered missing, and search and rescue operations are ongoing.

Recall that an explosion occurred at the Surmalu shopping center on August 14 at approximately 13:23. A total of 185 emergency service workers are participating in firefighting and search operations, with the involvement of twenty water trucks from the Yerevan municipality, twelve heavy trucks, five tractors, three cranes, and seven additional units of equipment.

Search and rescue teams from Shirak and Tavush have also arrived at the scene.
