Gunshots Reported on Myasnikyan Avenue

On August 15, gunshots were reported in Yerevan. Around 12:35 AM, the central police department received information that shots were fired near the "Souvenir" restaurant complex at the address Myasnikyan Avenue 5/3. This was reported by shamshyan.com.

A police operational group arrived at the scene, led by the deputy head of the department. According to G. Shamshyan's information, the officers from the main department of criminal police, the criminal investigation department of the Yerevan police, and the criminal investigation group from the Marash police division conducted a search based on received operational data. Hours later, they arrested 34-year-old Arthur H. and 28-year-old Khachik A., who are residents of Yerevan, on suspicion of hooliganism on Proshyan Street. They were driving a Toyota Camry.

It was revealed that Khachik A. had grossly violated public order and fired shots from a pistol in front of the specified address. The two individuals were presented to the second division of the investigative committee of Yerevan's Central and Norq Marash administrative districts, where senior investigator Vardanian initiated proceedings. G. Shamshyan reported that one bullet hit the windshield of a parked Mercedes vehicle, which was not damaged.
