Families Find Three Individuals Missing After Explosion: Emergency Situations Ministry
According to the spokesperson for the Ministry of Emergency Situations, Hayk Kostanyan, the decrease in the number of missing persons following the explosion at the "Surmalu" shopping center is due to family members finding the individuals who were previously presumed missing.
In a conversation with Armenian news agency "Armenpress," Kostanyan stated: "This is due to family members having found the individuals who were presumably missing."
It is important to recall that an explosion occurred at the 'Surmalu' shopping center on August 14 at approximately 13:23. The current death toll stands at six, with 18 citizens considered missing. Treatment for 13 injured individuals is ongoing across various medical facilities.
A total of 350 rescuers and 150 volunteers are participating in the firefighting efforts. Search and rescue operations are continuing.
