Body of Young Man Who Drowned After Participating in Summer Camps Found
Emergency responders from the Ministry of Emergency Situations have been working for over an hour to recover the body of a citizen approximately 8 km from the shore of Lake Sevan.
According to shamshyan.com, around 6:30 AM, rescue teams received reports of a body in the specified area and promptly proceeded to the scene. Shortly before, divers were able to bring the body to the shore.
Reports confirm that the man found in the lake was 31-year-old Azat M. from the Shirak region, who had been reported missing since August 7.
To recall, an emergency incident occurred on August 7 in the Gegharkunik region. At approximately 4:00 PM, the 911 crisis management center of the Ministry of Emergency Situations received an alert that a citizen had drowned while swimming in Lake Sevan, near the administrative area of the village of Tsovak.
It was revealed that around 3:30 PM, 31-year-old Azat M. from Shirak was swimming in the location mentioned, and according to his companions, he drowned.
