Temperatures Are Set to Rise Even Further

Due to the influx of tropical warm air currents from the regions of Iraq, the air temperature in the republic will rise by 5-6 degrees from today, from August 14 to 17.

In the Ararat Plain, the foothills of Aragatsotn and Vayots Dzor, and in Yerevan, the daytime temperature is expected to reach +40 to +42 degrees from August 15 to 19.

Given the high thermal background and lack of precipitation, a high fire danger situation is anticipated in the foothill and valley areas of the republic during those days.

The intensity of ultraviolet radiation in the republic is expected to be above normal from August 13 to 18. It is advised to avoid direct sunlight from 11:00 AM to 5:00 PM.

The Armenian State Hydrometeorological Service reports that dry weather is expected during the day on August 13 and from 14 to 18. The wind will be south-easterly at 2-5 m/s. In the evenings of August 13-14, wind gusts of 15-20 m/s are expected in the foothills of Aragatsotn and Kotayk, as well as in Armavir.

The air temperature will gradually rise by 5-6 degrees from August 13 to 17. In Yerevan today, dry weather is expected on 14-18. In the evenings of August 13-14, wind gusts of 15-18 m/s are anticipated. The temperature in the capital tonight is expected to range from +21 to +23 degrees, while during the day tomorrow, it may reach +36 to +38 degrees.
