The News is Confirmed: Vitaly Balasanyan Visits Berdzor with Russian Peacekeepers and Azerbaijani Officials

The Secretary of the Security Council of Artsakh, Vitaly Balasanyan, has visited Berdzor, and Tert.am sent an inquiry to the Security Council office asking whether the Secretary of the Artsakh Security Council visited Berdzor accompanied by Azerbaijani officials and Russian peacekeepers, for what purpose, and if any demands were made to the residents of Berdzor and Aghavno not to burn their homes.

In response to Tert.am's inquiry, the Artsakh Security Council stated: “There are no comments regarding the three questions presented. Regarding the Secretary of the Security Council's visit to the city of Berdzor, it is related to getting acquainted with the construction process of a new route connecting Artsakh to Armenia, as stipulated in the trilateral statement of November 9, 2020, and it took place together with representatives of the Russian peacekeeping forces stationed in the Republic of Artsakh, as well as representatives from the Azerbaijani side.”

It is noteworthy that a resident of Berdzor told Aravot.am that the Secretary of the Security Council of Artsakh, Vitaly Balasanyan, toured Berdzor with Azerbaijani officials and showed them the houses of Berdzor residents that would be handed over to Azerbaijanis in the coming days.
