Pre-Electoral Activity in the CP - "Hraparak"
According to the "Hraparak" newspaper, despite the current situation in the country, the CP has not postponed the congress scheduled for September 18. Furthermore, there is a pre-electoral buzz among the candidates for the executive body that will be elected at the congress, as they are writing programs and developing visions regarding the party's activities, since the pre-election phase for the selection of candidates will begin weeks later, from August 18-19.
A platform within the party will be created, which will include electors and elected officials, and those vying for membership in the executive will present pre-election speeches and answer questions from their teammates. And despite these statutory requirements of the party, many in the CP are convinced that the outcome of the elections is predetermined, as Nikol Pashinyan will decide who will be included in the CP executive body, or in his so-called inner circle, and who will be left out. There are 48 candidates presented, and the executive body will consist of 15 members.
In anticipation of the congress, the party is also finalizing the formation of a new body - the Council. The elections for CP regional and territorial councils have been ongoing for about two months. According to our sources in the party, about 5-6 councils remain to be elected, after which the larger council of the CP will be formed.
