Andranik Kocharyan Aspires for New Position: 'Hraparak'
'Hraparak' newspaper writes: 'The government's legislative initiative to create a Ministry of Internal Affairs will be presented for discussion in parliament in September. According to our information, Andranik Kocharyan, a MP from the ruling Civil Contract Party and someone who carries the unfulfilled dream of becoming Minister of Defense, aspires to the position of super-minister of internal affairs. However, we've been informed that a strong intra-team campaign is being conducted against Kocharyan. Moreover, the 'old guards' of the power, including Vigen Khachatryan, Gagik Jhangiryan, and others, are attempting to prevent his appointment, predicting disastrous consequences from Kocharyan's potential designation.'
