Biden Signs Protocols for Sweden and Finland's NATO Membership

U.S. President Joe Biden has signed the protocols for Sweden and Finland's accession to NATO.

The U.S. President also urged other NATO member states to approve the accession of the two countries "as quickly as possible."

It is noteworthy that Finland and Sweden concluded negotiations on joining NATO on July 4, in accordance with the agreements reached at the NATO summit in Madrid. Both countries have officially confirmed their intention and ability to fulfill the political, legal, and military obligations enshrined in their accession to NATO.
