“Am I working well? ... I want you to work, not instead of me,” said the Mayor of Yerevan, Hrachya Sargsyan, during a working consultation held at the municipality.

He announced plans to purchase 15 new trolleybuses. Earlier, city authorities had already announced the acquisition of 15 trolleybuses. In total, the fleet consists of 51 trolleybuses, with the oldest being 44 years old and the youngest being 14.

Sargsyan explained that, as a result of the reforms, the trolleybus fleet will be supplemented by 30 new vehicles. Additionally, the tender for the purchase of 150 new buses has been completed. “We already have a winner of the tender,” Sargsyan stated.

It is worth mentioning that the city authorities have already signed a contract for the acquisition of 87 German MAN buses (12 meters long). The implementation of the new transport network in Yerevan is being carried out in phases, a process that could take about 3 years. As of 2021, a total of 311 small and medium-class buses have been brought to Yerevan.
