Western countries will respond harshly if Turkey helps Russia evade sanctions: FT
Western countries are increasingly concerned about the deepening cooperation between Russia and Turkey, writes the Financial Times.
Western politicians have warned of a strong response if Ankara assists Moscow in evading sanctions, speaking to FT.
One EU official stated to the newspaper that Turkey is "becoming more and more a trade hub for Russia." This concern was prompted by the outcome of talks between Putin and Erdogan in Sochi, where an agreement was reached to begin partial payments in rubles for Russian gas supplies and to deepen bilateral cooperation.
