"This could jeopardize territorial and political integrity": Peskov

The upcoming meeting between Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan will address Ankara's intentions to conduct military operations in Syria. The Kremlin shares the concerns of its Turkish partners; however, it is crucial to prevent the destabilization of the situation. This was stated by Dmitry Peskov, the press secretary of the Russian president.

“Today, the issue of Syria will be discussed. Turkey, let's assume, has legitimate concerns based on security considerations, which we certainly take into account, but it is very important not to allow actions that could lead to destabilization in Syria. This could jeopardize territorial and political integrity,” Peskov said in response to reporters' questions.
