The Issue Will Be Resolved: The Reasons for Power Outages in Several Aragatsotn Villages Discussed by the Regional Administration

The power outages in several villages of the Aragatsavan community are caused by the frequent winds and hail. This was stated by Nane Avanesyan, head of the information and public relations department of the Aragatsotn regional administration, in an interview with NEWS.am.

According to her, the main reason for the protests in the village of Arteni was that people were unaware of the cause of the power outage. "The protesters are mainly those who own grocery stores. Awareness-raising activities are currently being carried out in the villages. Since the problem arose, appropriate measures have been taken to solve it. According to the community leader, the issue will be resolved by this evening," she said.

Earlier, Shamshyan.com reported that for the third consecutive day, power has been cut off in Arteni, Aragatsavan, Lusakn, Argina, and several checkpoints on the state border with Turkey. The power outages have sparked protests among the residents of Arteni. The villagers gathered in the central street of the village to find out what the government and the Aragatsotn regional administration were thinking and to demand that the Electric Networks of Armenia company resolve the issue in a short time.
