“One-time misunderstanding”: Raffi Hovhannisyan on his entry ban to Artsakh
The founder of the “Heritage” party and the first Foreign Minister of Armenia, Raffi Hovhannisyan, considers his ban on entering Artsakh a one-time misunderstanding. In a conversation with reporters, Hovhannisyan stated that as a citizen of the Republic of Armenia and as an Armenian, it is his exclusive right to be in the Republic of Artsakh.
“I have no issue with hiding, and I expect that on September 1, the area of Aghavno will be as it should be, the corridor will be in its place, and the relevant authorities—the highest leadership of the Republic of Artsakh and the command of the Russian peacekeepers—will restore my exclusive right,” said Hovhannisyan.
He expressed his desire to participate in the events dedicated to the anniversary of independence in Artsakh on September 2.
The former Foreign Minister noted that the Armenian people are living in an unprecedented tense and responsible period, calling for unity regardless of political views. “In this period, we must be highly responsible, overcome internal disagreements, pain, divisions, and find new political solutions,” Hovhannisyan stated.
