We Must Organize Mobilization as Quickly as Possible and Send Resources to Artsakh: Hovhikyan

“Nikol Pashinyan has repeatedly acknowledged that Azerbaijan is resorting to provocations and aggression to undermine the agreement reached on November 9, 2020. Essentially, the Prime Minister of Armenia admits that the enemy has no intention of pursuing peace; in that case, why are you striving for peace at all costs?” wrote journalist and analyst Nairi Hovhikian on his Facebook page.

He also referred to a post by MP Arsen Torosyan from the ‘Civil Contract’ faction in the National Assembly, where Torosyan stated that we must preserve peace at all costs. “What does that ‘at all costs’ mean? Handing over Artsakh piece by piece, or abandoning our communities in Armenia?” Hovhikian stated.

“Nikol Pashinyan claims that the Russians have not clarified their obligations in Artsakh, which has led to the problems we face. Who is responsible for clarifying those obligations? Who was supposed to secure that agreement with the Russians before the withdrawal of the Armenian armed forces from Artsakh? Constructively, not everything is lost yet, it is not too late. We must organize mobilization as quickly as possible and send mobilization resources to Artsakh. These groups do not necessarily have to be under the command of the Armenian Ministry of Defense. We have the right to assist our compatriots in Artsakh if the Russians are unable to fulfill their peacekeeping mission,” emphasized Nairi Hovhikian.

It is worth mentioning that MP Arsen Torosyan had made a post titled “The Price of Peace,” which received reactions even in the Azerbaijani sphere. Specifically, the Azerbaijani news outlet The Azeri Times shared Torosyan’s post on Twitter.
