Video: Four Foreigners Arrested for Selling Drugs via Telegram

The online Telegram application is known for pages engaged in illegal drug trafficking, against which law enforcement regularly takes action. According to information received by the Criminal Police's Drug Trafficking Division, 'Green House 420' operates as such a page, through which members of a criminal group were distributing drugs in the capital and certain regions.

The received information was acted upon by the criminal investigators from the Shirak regional police departments of Kumayri, Ani, and Akhuryan. A 23-year-old man and a 31-year-old woman, both foreign nationals residing in the village of Dzorakap, were arrested in Gyumri on suspicion of illegally acquiring, possessing, and selling narcotics. During the search, the woman was found in possession of 10 methamphetamine pills and five 'LSD' tablets, as well as approximately 35 grams of hashish.

Continuing the operation, two more foreigners were to be arrested under the same suspicion. One of them, who was athletic in build, noticed the criminal investigators and attempted to escape. The senior operative of the Drug Trafficking Division chased him for several hundred meters and was able to apprehend the fleeing suspect. Both were arrested and taken to the Kumayri police department. They were the ones managing the Telegram page 'Green House 420.' During the search of the 30-year-old man, approximately 130 grams of hashish were found. The man who attempted to flee had thrown a package onto the roof of one of the houses during his escape. The package contained methamphetamine, hashish, and LSD, as well as hallucinogenic mushrooms, weighing a total of approximately 180 grams.

A search of their residence revealed computers, electronic scales, tablets, vials, and syringes. Criminal proceedings have been initiated. All four individuals have been detained, and circumstances are being clarified during the investigation.
