Azerbaijan Must Fulfill These Three Obligations: Pashinyan

Azerbaijan, which considers the November 9 declaration as its victory, currently has a problem: to eliminate that declaration and avoid the consolidation of the realities established by it. This was stated by Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan during a government meeting.

“The November 9 declaration records three key realities: the existence of the Artsakh entity, the presence of a contact line in Artsakh, and the existence of the Lachin corridor that guarantees the connection between Artsakh and Armenia. In essence, Azerbaijan's current struggle is against these three institutions, and our expectation is that, as stipulated in the trilateral declaration, the Russian peacekeeping force will not give Azerbaijan the opportunity to disrupt these fundamental institutions established by the trilateral declaration,” said Pashinyan.

He noted that Azerbaijan is currently amplifying claims that Armenia has assumed obligations under the November 9 agreement. “Yes, we have taken on obligations, and we have fulfilled all of them. Azerbaijan must also fulfill its three obligations: 1. Acknowledge the existence of the Artsakh entity documented by the signature of the President of Azerbaijan; 2. Respect the presence of the contact line in Artsakh; 3. Respect the existence of the Lachin corridor, which is a crucial institution ensuring the connection between Artsakh and Armenia. Azerbaijan is obliged to fulfill these three obligations; otherwise, we must include in our agenda the activation of international mechanisms aimed at respecting our obligations undertaken by our own signature,” the Prime Minister stated.
