Maria Zakharova, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry, wrote today on her Telegram channel that the United States, through the visit of House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, showcased a disregard for the rights of other states, while American diplomats in China have now 'literally swallowed their tongue' out of fear of public outrage.

In this way, the official representative of the Russian Foreign Ministry commented on the Chinese authorities summoning U.S. Ambassador Nicholas Burns following Pelosi's trip to Taiwan. 'She understands that the U.S. is again disregarding the rights of other states with her provocation. And now, certainly, it is not the Americans' turn to speak about respecting international law if Washington has violated its obligations toward Beijing,' Zakharova stated.
