The Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia has initiated a criminal case regarding the mass brawl that took place in a Batumi restaurant on July 30, as reported by Parvana TV.

According to the investigation, two groups of young people had previously agreed not to turn on the music, as the day was declared a day of mourning in the country. However, one of them broke this promise after consuming alcohol. This resulted in an argument among the visitors, which escalated into a brawl.

The pre-trial investigation is ongoing under the article for "hooliganism." A day of mourning was declared in Georgia after a rescue helicopter attempting to assist paragliders that had fallen in Gudauri crashed, resulting in the death of nine people.
