Armenia's Police Issues Statement on Passport and Visa Services
The Passport and Visa Department of the Armenian Police continues to operate under a heavy workload, amidst long queues, which is attributed to the simultaneous occurrence of several factors. This was reported by the police's press service.
“From June 1 to July 19 of this year, approximately 131,530 more transactions have been made compared to the same period last year, meaning this many more citizens have been served and are waiting in line.
In light of the above, we urge our compatriots to carry out actions for obtaining passports and making annotations about the validity period in foreign countries in advance and as necessary. Please do not receive more than one ticket from the queue management devices at the passport services. Receiving multiple tickets by a single citizen and only using one results in the cancellation of the remaining tickets, which requires additional time, during which another citizen could have been served. We ask citizens to receive a queue ticket for each individual so that the time can be used optimally, allowing for a greater number of people to be served in the meantime.
We request the understanding and patience of our citizens, as the Passport and Visa Department is undertaking all possible measures within its human and material resources to ensure proper service for all applicants,” the statement reads.
