Where Foreigners Can Apply for Residence Status Based on Employment Activity: Details
The Migration Service will now operate at the Public Services Unified Office located at 3 Vazgen Sargsyan Street in Yerevan, as reported by the Ministry of Justice of Armenia.
"From now on, the Migration Service will also provide the service of granting residence status based on employment to foreigners at the Public Services Unified Office located at 3 Vazgen Sargsyan Street. Employers wishing to attract foreign employees submit an electronic application via the workpermit.am platform. This electronic version is circulated among the relevant authorities. In the event of a positive decision, the foreigner receives a notification to appear at the Public Services Unified Office and obtain the card that serves as a document for residence status based on employment activity."
Citizens from EAEU member states working in Armenia can personally register on the workpermit.am website and receive a notification to appear at the Public Services Unified Office more quickly, obtaining a certificate confirming the legality of their residence in the form of a card.
The creation of user accounts for foreign employers can also be carried out by a specialist from the Migration Service’s Labor Migration and Monitoring Division at the Public Service Center," the statement mentions.
