Video: Attempt to Import Unregistered Medicines from Turkey to Armenia

The State Revenue Committee of the Republic of Armenia's Department for Combating Smuggling continues its uncompromising fight against the illegal transportation of unregistered medicines and pharmaceutical products across the borders of Armenia.

Officials from the anti-smuggling unit discovered and prevented the illegal importation of various types of unregistered medicines at the customs control zone of the 'Zvartnots' airport passenger complex.

During customs control of two Armenian citizens arriving from Turkey, various types of unregistered medicines and empty medicine boxes with Latin inscriptions were found in their luggage. Additionally, during personal searches of the aforementioned citizens, oncological medications hidden in the inner pockets of their jackets were discovered.

In connection with these incidents, materials were prepared at the Department for Combating Smuggling of the SRC under the violations of Articles 201 and 203 of the Customs Code of the Republic of Armenia and were forwarded to the Legal Department of the SRC.
